Christmas and New Year Celebration Feasts

I just love the festive seasons, it's always a great time to have lots of interactions with the family and strengthen the bonds between us. It is at these times away from the hustle and bustle of work one can truly appreciate the family life. One of my favourite family activity during this period is to enjoy great food. Fantastic tasting food couple with the great company of family members is a difficult combination to beat. This time around my pre-new year resolution was to maintain my weight during the holiday season, since I know we'll be having lots of food I figure it would be un-realistic for me to actually loose weight! Well, I'm please to announce that I'm able to keep to my limits (I think that doing the annual spring cleaning helped!), so I'm into the new year with my old weight (which I won't disclose here :P). Loosing weight is in my new year resolutions (a separate blog on new year resolutions), which I guess is also in 90% of everyone's resolution! Anyway, I have more motivation to loose weight in 2009, tell you all about it later.

To end this post, do enjoy the photos of the delicious food that I got to sample this holiday. Here's wishing everyone a Merry belated Christmas and Happy New Year!

Chrismas Day Luncheon at Bruno's.
Lentil soup. Smoke salmon above.
Fresh bread with olive oil/vinegar dip.

Seafood Paella. This is one of the signature dishes at Bruno's, a must have!
Xmas turkey!
Suckling pig.

Lamb. This is so delicious, the meat is cooked just right with lots of juices locked in.
Xmas pudding.. soooo sweet.
Tiramisu.. Yum!

Japanese food at RakuZen:

Very very fresh sashimi.
Soft-shell crab temaki.
Saba fish. My family found it simply delicious.. I found it fishy.. :P
These thinly slided meat looks nice...
