Red sky over Cameron

The long Raya weekend was a great excuse to get some R&R with family and friends. We headed up to a bungalow in Cameron Highlands where we had a totally relaxing weekend (minus the holiday traffic jams). Having steamboat in cold weather is always the best, you don't sweat pints! We had a great evening sky and I took the opportunity to do some quick portraits.

Chiffon and Lace: Designer Bridal Gowns

Danny Chew Photography is proud to be associated with the folks at Chiffon and Lace. Chiffon and Lace is an online boutique specializing designer wedding and bridal gowns. (FULL DISCLOSURE: My wife is a partner at Chiffon and Lace)
It was a tiring but very fulfilling month of weekends to produce these dramatic images for Chiffon and Lace. It was a wonderful opportunity for me to push my creative as well as technical limits and further grow as a photographer. These images were taken in and around Penang. It just goes to show how rich Penang is.

Here's a couple more of my favourites. Head on over to Chiffon and Lace for more stunning images!

Family Portraits: The Lau's

Over the Chinese New Year, Siew Fui, baby Chloe's mum, invited us over to photograph her family. We spent two morning with the family photographing the children on the first day and spending sometime doing family portraits on the second day. We had a great time hanging out with the children and the rest of the family. The Lau's are just so warm and friendly; we enjoyed a delicious homecooked breakfast with them. Phew! it's really tiring chasing after two energetic kids. Heheh.. it's helping me in my goal to hit the 32" line :)

Here are some of my favs.

Baby Chloe

I want to thank Siew Fui and CK for inviting my wife and I over to their place for lunch. We had a blast eating home-cooked spaghetti and an even bigger blast photographing their baby, Chloe! She just so adorable and cute. Babies are one of my favourite photo subjects, they just give you so many expressions! Did I mention they are sooo cute! We topped of the great day with a cake baked by Siew Fui. Delicious!

Here are my favourites from that day.
